The pilot test facility
Food Radar Systems has designed a pilot test facility, see figure below, that will be up and running during the second part of May 2006. The facility, located at SIK*is intended for full scale tests, in a laboratory environment, of the LOOK100 sensor. Customers are welcome to evaluate the sensor in en environment that emulate their specific production plant. Please contact us for further details! * SIK = Institutet för Livsmedel och Bioteknik AB / the Swedish Institute for Food and Biotechnology, in Göteborg, Sweden. |

The food is pumped through the system by the pump (fp). The sensor could be mounted in either one of the positions labeled pos 1 through pos 4. Gauges measure the temperature, pressure and the flow of the food passing through the "loop". A mesh filter is installed to collect foreign test particles injected into the system. Up to 150 liters of liquid substance could be stored in the system tank. The whole system can easily be cleaned. The abbreviations used in the picture above stands for: |
